Idiot What The Reason?
The term idiot was not actually used in the medical world to describe children who have a response lag to catch either motor, cognitive, social, and language. What is the cause of mental retardation or mental retardation?
Although the intelligence quotient (IQ) is not the only way to measure kids ‘idiot’ but most children with the condition that has a level of intelligence below normal.
Standard normal IQ by Stanford-Binet scale is in the range of 85-115. Only 1 percent of the world’s population has an IQ level above 135. Half (50%) of the world’s population has an average IQ in the range of 90-110, of 25% have an IQ above average and 25% of the population in the world have IQs below.
People who had low IQ below 70 and it is difficult to communicate with other people who are usually called ‘idiot’ or mental retardation. People like this have a unique personality but in the social life is often the derision in the community.
As reported by the keepkidshealthy, Tuesday (16/3/2010), ‘idiot’ are classified by the amount of IQ, namely:
1. Lightweight
IQ scores between 55-69. Approximately 85 percent of children ‘idiot’ in this range, and relatively well educated. Children can learn to read and write until grade 4 or 5. They are relatively independent life and can work with special training.
2. Medium
IQ scores between 40-54. Approximately 10 percent of children ‘idiot’ in this classification, which can be categorized as well trained. These children may have academic potential in kindergarten or grade 1. Has a limited ability to read and usually requires the support and supervision in daily living activities, and can work with special training.
3. hard
IQ scores between 25-39. Approximately 5 percent of children ‘idiot’ in this classification. The children with these levels are unlikely to be able to learn to read and write, but it may be the toilet itself with trained and dressed with help. They usually require total supervision and support for activities of daily life.
4. Depth
IQ scores below 24, and less than 1 percent of children ‘idiot’ who are in this classification.
But a more recent classification system was developed in 1992 that is not based on IQ score. Grouping children mental retardation based on the amount of support and supervision of the individual needs of intermittent, limited, extensive and pervasive.
