Kidney transplantation technique is most at risk had been carried out by surgeons in Baltimore, USA. This operation was considered risky because it uses the risk of kidney donors with kidney cancer.

So far there are five patients who undergo surgery with successful kidney transplant at risk by a team from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine.

U.S. Surgeon reveals these techniques offer a vital rescue in patients with end-stage renal failure who could have died waiting for organs from healthy donors. But so far none of the patients who had received the donor and the cancer experience.

However, due to reduced kidney donors who are still alive and a high risk of death while awaiting transplantation, five donors and patients need to perform the surgery, even found a small mass or small kidney tumors in donor.

“This shows that the risk of kidney transplants remain an option for some people,” says Dr. Phelan in the Journal of the British Association of Urological Surgeons.

This study provides evidence that kidneys from donors who have a tumor was risky, but still worth it due to lack of donor organs.

The kidneys can be transplanted into recipients with limited life expectancy, so the real life model and diligent consultation is very important in this case
